Old Man Logan 2?

When Mark Millar and Steve McNiven (the creative time behind Marvel’s Civil War) reteamed for the “Old Man Logan” storyline in the pages of Wolverine I was very excited. I’ve reread it a few times now that the story has wrapped up and I still love it. So to say that I’m more than enthused by the news today being reported on the Comic Book Resources site would be something of an understatement.

Still in the very early writing stages Millar has revealed he has plans for a follow-up to the original blockbuster storyline which combined elements of Clint Eastwood’s movie Unforgiven with the Wolverine and Marvel mythos in the setting of a dystopian future.

It’s been in the back of my mind since before I started writing the first issue of the original,” he wrote last night on his message board, “but this was the first time I’d actually put pen to paper. Marvel had offered me a classic book a few weeks back and when I was sitting on the plane planning to put some notes together I just couldn’t stop. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the book I was offered, but the ‘Old Man Logan’ sequel. It opens with this insane Spidey flashback which pretty much sets the tone. My God, it’s going to be fun to write.
