This is great news. Firstly because the novel has landed in the hands of the folks at Showtime, King’s work needs to be adapted at a cable network that takes risks. Watered down, made-for-regular-TV versions of his novels suck, sorry they just do. If you are a fan of King’s work, it’s as much about the visceral horror and fear as it is about the plot. His descriptions far outweigh your imagination in terms of depth and scare factor. To even come close, you have to tread pretty far into R-rated waters. Secondly, is of course, brilliant writer Brian K Vaughn. This could be really good. Hit the jump for a quick synopsis. — more

Han & Luke: “That Was Love”

Thanks to Slash for pointing this clip out. I heart Tracy Morgan/Jordan very much, he’s wild, unpredictable and has some of the best talk show moments period. Try not to smile when he explains the relationship between Han and Luke in Empire… brilliant.

Jay Leno Sucks

I think that’s how i’ll title every post that has anything to do with Conan. But the truth is there is no fight between Leno and Conan, it’s a no-contest, hands down, slaughter-rule. Coco is forever funnier than Leno and if you don’t believe me, just click play.

He sure knows how not to respond. I think the OP says it best with this line, “Don Draper uses the word “what” as Van Gogh used color or Beethoven used sound.”

Kenny Powers is Back! Eastbound & Down Season 2 Trailer

on September 14, 2010

HBO’s Sunday night comedy hour of power is back for Season 2 starting September 26th. Back to back, we get Bored to Death and Eastbound & Down @ 9pm CST. I can’t wait. Bored to Death lulls you into a false state of comedy comfort with Schwartzman’s mellow portrayal of the reserved stoner/private-eye Jonathon Ames, then Eastbound & Down punches you in the face with its deadpan vulgarity and awkward moments, a perfect combo. Embedded above is a sneak peak of Eastbound Season 2.
